With a relationship spanning over five years, A Current Affair has returned to Industry City for an intimate outdoor pop-up for the month of October. After years of their bi-annual vintage fair in building 1 with 40+ vendors showcasing the best of vintage, together we created a Covid friendly affair for their fall show.

A Current Affair’s community consists of over 200 vintage retailers and private dealers, from clothing, accessories to jewelry. In 2018 they opened Arcade, a year-round vintage pop-up at Industry City. Moving into building 5 across from Teresa Foglia, our custom hat shop, sharing a campus with cityFoundry, our antique dealer, and downstairs from The Makers Guild has expanded our fashion and vintage offering creating a unique Brooklyn shopping experience.

This unique affair sprawls across Courtyard 1/2, under our newest tented space. Each weekend in October offers space for a rotating roster of vendors to showcase their vintage finds. Richard Wainwright, the co-founder and producer of A Current Affair has built not only a community of vintage purveyors but also a family of vintage shoppers and collectors who come to Richard for the best of the best.

The strain of the pandemic on small businesses has been two-fold. A Current Affair’s reputable brand allowed them to pivot its business to support vintage boutiques across the country. They used their robust following over digital platforms to host virtual vintage fairs, and now we have had the opportunity to work together to create a space to come together that feels safe for both sellers and buyers.

Find a stylish crew of shoppers, ready to hunt down their next win, and street style snaps documenting these talented looks every Saturday + Sunday in October | 11am – 5pm | Courtyard 1/2
