14 Mar Eater: Brooklyn Kitchen to Shutter Williamsburg Store in Move to Industry City
Industry City, the six million-square-foot retail and commercial complex in Brooklyn’s Sunset Park, holds a lot of food mysteries within. There’s an entire 40,000-square-foot food hall in there with 12 vendors, as well as 13 other restaurant spaces sprinkled throughout — plus stores such as Design Within Reach and ABC Carpet.
At one point Parm was moving in and the chef behind Cosme was considering a space, too. While those have not come to fruition, other big names have filled in, such as Hometown Bar-B-Que’s Billy Durney with an upcoming Jewish deli and an outpost of cult favorite Burger Joint. Come this spring there will even be an entire 20,000-square-foot Japanese food market. Smorgasburg also shows up on weekends.
Here now, what’s already open and what’s to come in terms of food at the open-daily Industry City.
