Join Barrow’s Intense for a reading from Colin Dickey’s latest book, Under the Eye of Power: How Fear of Secret Societies Shapes American Democracy.

The author will discuss the rise of conspiracy theories involving the Freemasons, the Illuminati, lizard people and other strange groups, and how conspiratorial thinking is driving the modern world. The event will feature a reading and Q&A, along with mingling and book signing.

Colin Dickey is the author of five books of nonfiction, including, Ghostland: An American History in Haunted Places, and, most recently, Under the Eye of Power: How Fear of Secret Societies Shapes American Democracy. He is also the co-editor (with Joanna Ebenstein) of The Morbid Anatomy Anthology.
