Brooklyn Kura, NYC’s first and only sake brewery, is teaming up with Union Sushi co for another series of sustainable sushi pop ups this winter. Join TJ Provenzano and chef Jeff Miller (Formerly of Mayanoki), and their chef/partner Yoni Lang for an intimate 15 course omakase dinner on Tuesday 12/10, and Wedensday 12/11. This pop up offers an exclusive look at Union Sushi co’s new restaurant concept as they look for their new permanent home.
The meal, prepared by Jeff Miller and Yoni Lang, will feature local and sustainably-sourced sushi and seafood. Union loves to experiment with an ever-changing menu showcasing domestic and underappreciated species through unexpected flavor pairings such as bluefish with garlic and chilles, trout with pickled shallots, and kingfish with sunflower seeds. Another highlight of these dinners is a warm and delicious laksa made from the fish bones, heads, and trim.
Throughout the evening, Brooklyn Kura will be pouring the brewery’s signature offerings – plus a few special surprises from TJ Provenzano’s Rooftop Reds.
There will be two dinner seatings at 630pm and 9pm. Tickets for the dinner are $150 per person (tax and gratuity included), with an optional sake and wine pairing. Drinks will also be available a la carte.
