Brooklyn Kura is teaming up with Oishii Berry, purveyor of top-quality strawberries, to host a (socially-distanced) sake and strawberry tasting on Sunday, September 27 from 1-4pm at Brooklyn’s Kura’s IC brewery and taproom.
For $20 per person, guests will receive a glass of Brooklyn Kura sake (brewed on site!) of their choice: either the Occidental (dry-hopped junmai) or the bottle-conditioned pet-nat nigori, paired with Oishii’s signature Omakase Berry. Beloved by chefs, Omakase Berries are grown in a vertical farm from Japanese seeds and have been served in Michelin-starred restaurants like Atomix and Brooklyn Fare. To note, socially-distanced seating will be offered in Brooklyn Kura’s scenic outdoor courtyard.
While at the taproom, guests can stick around to try out Brooklyn Kura’s taproom exclusives, including moromi (actively fermenting sake mash) and sake cocktails, and to purchase trays of Omakase Berries and sake bottles to-go.
