American Idiot is a rock musical that follows the journey of three young friends – Johnny, Will, and Tunny – as they navigate the challenges of post-9/11 America. Frustrated with suburban life, the trio sets out on separate paths: Johnny falls into a seductive world of drugs and rebellion, Will grapples with the responsibilities of fatherhood, and Tunny enlists in the military. The musical, set to the music of punk rock band Green Day, explores themes of disillusionment, rebellion, and the search for identity in a politically charged and turbulent era.
