Live Jazz at Sahadi’s

Enjoy live Jazz at Sahadi’s. The Myrtle Quintet will be performing from 1-4PM on Sunday, August 13th.

The Myrtle Quintet is a 5-piece of young music students made up of bass (August DuClos), guitar (Luke Eiseman), drums (Jackson Zerrer), piano (Aidan Fuller), and saxophone (Henry Raker). They all share a deep enjoyment for the quintessential styles of jazz that shaped modern bebop while using their passion for other genres to influence their unique musical take on jazz.

Their show will consist of classic and contemporary jazz standards performed in varying styles. They will create their own arrangements of well-known and unknown jazz music, bringing a youthful energy to the bandstand. Capitalizing on the unique conversational aspects of jazz, they bring a looseness to their music that leaves lots of space for improvisational ideas to come in and out.
