The Myrtle Quintet is a 5 piece of young music students made up of bass (August DuClos), guitar (Luke Eiseman), drums (Jackson Zerrer), piano (Aidan Fuller), and saxophone (Henry Raker). They all share a deep enjoyment for the quintessential styles of jazz that shaped modern bebop while using their passion for other genres to influence their unique musical take on jazz.

Their show will consist of classic and contemporary jazz standards performed in varying styles. They will create arrangements of well-known and unknown jazz music, bringing a youthful energy to the bandstand. Capitalizing on the unique conversational aspects of jazz, they bring a looseness to jazz music that leaves lots of space for improvisational ideas to come in and out.
