Join Morbid Anatomy as they celebrate a new season of Library open houses and monthly flea markets starting April 30th and running throughout summer and fall in their location at IC.
This first iteration will be celebrated in style, with a party and a special Morbid Anatomy Library Open House.
Expect a day-long, outdoor (rain or shine!) flea market at Barrow’s Intense Tasting Room, where you can enjoy delicious cocktails while perusing antiques curated by Evan Michelson of Obscura Antiques and TV’s Oddities; vintage taxidermy by J D Powe, author of Best Friends Forever: The Greatest Collection of Taxidermy Dogs on Earth; exquisite anatomical and insect-inspired jewelry by Karen Bachman; vintage oddities by Daisy Tainton; ethical rogue taxidermy by taxidermist Divya Anantharaman; fantastic handmade accessories by Wren Britton; vintage books by Interesting Editions; vintage clothes and objects by Liz McGarrity; natural history antiquities by Robin Stephens; and much more!
When you are done with your shopping, head over to the Morbid Anatomy Library (254 36th Street) —with its hundreds of books + artifacts exploring art, death + culture—which will be open all day, with special free tours!
And, at day’s end, join as they reconvene at Barrow’s Intense Tasting Room for a free meet-and-greet afterparty with specially curated music and performances.
