One of the best-kept secrets in Japan is their native distilled spirit called shochu, which has been taking the U.S. and NYC Japanese restaurants by storm. For Shochu Month, Waku Waku will have special shochu menus through March 11. These limited-time menus will feature shochu of different Japanese regionalities and ingredients.

The highlights of WakuWaku’s Shochu Month will be on March 11. Japanese distillers from Miyazaki and Satsuma will be here in person. These artisanal craft distillers will pour shochu for you and explain over 500 years of shochu history!
