The Brooklyn SciFi Film Festival and St. Mark's Comics present a family-friendly program of six Star Trek-inspired fan films with Trek-themed entertainment hosted at bkOne’s Tom Kane Theatre in Industry City, Sunset Park, Brooklyn on Saturday, October 10th, from 1pm to 4pm. With special musical performances, films, and life-size Star Trek character pop-ups for photos. St. Mark’s Comics joins the event, showcasing comics and collectibles. Show up in full Star Trek Cosplay costume for free entry!
In the spirit of Oktoberfest, a traditional German celebration of beer and countrymen will be held with over 100 styles of craft beer featuring many NY breweries. Brooklyn Industry City Courtyard will be hosting an eclectic local variety of superbly fermented beer and cider in all styles combining the best elements of a Beer Garden with the staggering array of choices found only at a Craft Beer Festival. Guests will enjoy craft beer samples for the entire evening paired with live entertainment, Food and Interactive Games.

In this workshop, participants will learn the fundamentals of relief printmaking by carving their own lino printing block and creating a personalized stationery set. Participants will design, carve, and print their own imagery onto cards and envelopes. A selection of pre-carved blocks will also be available, allowing participants to combine personal designs with existing imagery and explore the possibilities of shared printmaking tools.

A Haunting in Industry City is an art market centered around the horror genre. This October, we'll have 20 vendors selling their wares, everything from art to apparel to jewelry to trinkets. Come on a multifaceted journey through time as we explore the historic Green-Wood Cemetery, followed by a curated cocktail experience at Fort Hamilton Distillery.
This workshop will introduce adults to the possibilities of monoprinting with Gelli plates. Participants will explore techniques including layering transparent colors, creating textures, and building compositions through repetition and variation. This process-based workshop welcomes beginners and offers experienced artists an opportunity to expand their printmaking practice through experimentation and intuitive image-making with accessible gelli printing. These prints can stand alone or be used for further printing with block printing.
