Join us on Tuesday, May 14th to celebrate the launch of Henry Stewart’s sixth book, The Streets of Brooklyn, a portrait of street life in the borough in the late 19th century, just after the opening of the Brooklyn Bridge. This annotated collection of Brooklyn Eagle columns from 1886–87 written by someone known only as “E.R.G.,” detailing Third Avenue, Flatbush Avenue, Henry Street, Union Street, and more, offers a fascinating glimpse into old New York.
