Japanese Calligraphy Workshop with Rihaku Inoue & Sushi night with Chef Yoshihiko Kousaka

Japanese Calligraphy master RIHAKU will teach and explore the beauty of early summer through Japanese words written in the elegant flow of hiragana calligraphy, a script unique to Japan.

The class will draw “Aoba-no-kisetsu Shoka-no-Kaori, which translates to “The refreshing season of fresh green leaves has arrived, it’s that beautiful time of early summer when you can feel its gentle fragrance in the air.”
Each participant will create a piece on a traditional tanzaku strip, then design a backing for it, and take home their personalized artwork.
