Sake Caliente Pop-Up at Brooklyn Kura

Sake Caliente explores the versatility of sake as a beverage and celebrates warm sake and blended sake. Started as a weekend pop-up in 2015, Sake Caliente has since traveled to Kyoto and back, joining Brooklyn Kura in the taproom just in time for the end of winter weather with plenty of warm sake and a special meal created by Chef Kaori Yoshida.

Executive Chef Kaori Yoshida was born and raised in Kyoto. After owning and operating an Italian restaurant in Kyoto for many years, Kaori set her sights overseas, where she worked in the kitchens of globally renowned restaurants such as Chez Panisse and Kajitsu. She now owns and operates Oasi in Kyoto.

This multi-course meal will feature Chef Kaori’s famous chicken and Italian-inspired fare. Sake Sommelier Chizuko Niikawa-Hilton will offer expert yet playful sake pairings throughout. Together they promise a meal that will bring the heat and warm the heart.
